Mogo loops for locals and visitors
Whether you’re chasing adrenaline, exploring with the family, or just love the rhythm of a good downhill, we’ve got a mountain bike loop here for you. We’ve broken them into three types:
Adventurer Favourites – Big loops, plenty of trails and serious kilometres. Expect long runs, bring snacks and be ready to navigate.
Family Favourites – Easy greens with the option for some blues. Loops that bring you back to where you started, so everyone can ride at their own pace.
Flow Chaser Favourites – smooth berms and rollercoaster rhythm. These loops mix climbs that make you earn it with descents that pay you back in pure, flowy fun.
Starting point: Botanic Garden trailhead
Stay in this zone for loads of flowy fun or head towards the Dam Wall to unlock the Mogo Trig area. The beauty of the Botanic Garden zone is that from the mid-point (top of Botanology), all green, blue and black trails lead back to the main car park. So if you’re in a group of riders with different tastes in trails, you can do the climb together and choose your own flavour of trail back.
2.2km Family Favourite
An awesome beginner 2.4km loop or one to do with the family is Botanology to Cosmic Thunder – the perfect trail to catch the riding bug!
3.5km Family Favourite
Young riders or riders of different riding skillsets can climb Botanology then Stairway to Haven to get to the summit. From here, go down Lockdown 2.0 (blue) or Skyway (green). Choose from a variety of trails to get back down to the main hub. This is a great family loop and will give you loads of flowy fun!

Experienced riders can warm up with the same Botanology – Stairway to Haven climb to the summit then continue to take on an extra 2.1km climb up Weekend at Bernies. The reward is a 2.9 km fast and flowy descent down Spitfire which has a blue and black option from the top. Then choose the Bankrupt connector and go Lockdown 2.0 (blue) or Skyway (green). Choose from a variety of downhill trails to get back to the main hub.

Another awesome journey from the Botanic Garden trailhead is to the Mogo Trig hub – this is where heart rates rise for sure!
Head to the Dam Wall (either via Dam Creek Road or via Botanology climb and Dam View descent trails). Cross the Dam Wall and ride the green Company Credit Card climb to the Trig point. This is where you can hit double-black-diamond trails: Selleys, Vertiginuous and MI6 – lap as many times as you like using the Deja Vu climbing trail. There are also blue and green options – all finish in the same spot ready to climb back up Deja Vu. To head back to the Botanic Garden trailhead, choose the Current Level trail just below the Trig to get onto one of the unsung hero trails of the network – Bad Dawg. Sheer endless flow back to the Dam Wall.
Starting point: Mogo Town

The Skills Park is located at the top of The Mogo wall. Take the climb up the wall and choose Skills Climb trail to get straight into it. Choose either green or blue Skills Run down. Mind you, these aren’t just for the little ones. Riders of every age and ambition can dial in those lines – it’s a fantastic spot to have a shred as a family.

Ready to venture further? Ride up to Mitchells Hub via Umbarra and Mirribi – head down Guranguran and try Flipping Pancakes (a favourite with the local kids) which takes you to the start of the Skills Runs. Repeat runs of Skills Climb and Skills Run all day if you want!
15km Adventurer Favourite
Ride up the Mogo Wall, then take the cruisy Umburra climb and over to Mirribi which lands you at the Mitchells Hub (about 2.8km climb total). Watch for cars as you cross over the road and take your pick down blue Moflow or green Goflow. Ride up to the Trig via DejaVu. Take the Half Baked descent and cross the intersection to join the Zooniverse trail south. From there, you can ride 3.3 km of Zooniverse all the way back to Mitchells. Feeling up to it, you have the option here to chuck in Alice in Wanderaland and Gin Khana before a fun flowy descent back to Mogo Town via Guranguran and Munggara.
If you want something extra to chuck in this mix – hit up Burnt Offerings which is an extension off the Zooniverse trail. It’s an awesome flowy trail with short little pinches in there. You climb via Jackhammer and Mayday to get back Zooniverse via the Wombat Soup junction. This will add another 6km.

Keen on a massive loop? Climb Up 2 HQ which will take you to Zooniverse North. Ride the full Zooniverse trail and Alice in Wanderaland trail. Then you’re in for a bit of a climb back up Gin Khana and Mirribi to Mitchells hub. Head into Mogo Town if you want to grab a feed or ice-cream, then pick your trails heading over to Mogo Trig. From here, climb Current Level to get onto one of the unsung hero trails of the network – Bad Dawg. It’s sheer endless flow to the Dam Wall. Then ride up the Constant Support trail to Stairway to Haven. Watch for cars as you cross the main Ridge Road onto Devil is the Temptor – it’s a green descent and a crowd favourite with its big berms, fun rollers and easy jumps.
